Daily Prayer at 12PM by the People of Grace Fellowship Community Church

This week’s daily prayer for May 22 to May 28 is from Charlotte Chang.

Dear God,

We grieve over Israeli persecution of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.

We grieve over the violence by Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel.

Lord, please sustain those who work toward reconciliation, justice, and peace in the midst of such enmity.

Please make a way, where there is no way, for shalom in your holy land.

This will be a special love feast to recognize and celebrate the volunteers in our congregation who do what they do to bless our church and its ministries.

No one needs to bring or provide food for this love feast.

We want to recognize and celebrate those in our congregation and their family members who are celebrating this milestone.

Please provide the names of the graduates to the church office.

Deeper Dive Link - Reflecting on the Sunday Experience

Every Tuesday, we will offer “A Deeper Dive,” a time to revisit the previous Sunday’s worship experience.

This space will be on Zoom every Tuesday evening, 7:00-8:30pm. Below is the zoom link which you can use every week:

Deeper Dive Zoom Link

Meeting ID: 825 9666 9506

Questions to Consider for the Deeper Dive

1. How were you made aware of God’s presence this past Sunday—perhaps through a song, the sermon, communion, a conversation with someone at coffee hour, etc.?

2. What in the sermon particularly inspired, encouraged, or challenged you?

3. Beyond Sundays, in what ways has your worship experience been impacting your relationship with God, neighbor (near and far), and/or yourself?

Contact Pastor Al or Randy Chang if you have any questions.

Follow up on the Loops of Love Delivery Last Thursday

Thank you everyone for your generosity and support. Jennifer and I were able to deliver our gifts of hats and stuffed animals to Laguna Honda Hospital's Spanish speaking unit last Thursday. Our visit came just at the right time, because the activity on Thursdays is Loteria (Spanish Bingo) and they needed prizes. It was such a joy for Jennifer and me to witness this loving community. Please continue to lift up your prayers for the staff and residents at Laguna Honda.

Jubilee Immigration Advocates’ “Justice Together” Workshops

Jubilee has officially opened the Justice Together: Volunteer Interest Form

The Justice Together workshops are to provide outreach presentations to community partners about how to navigate today’s complex immigration landscape.

Jubilee is asking interested volunteers to fill out this form and/or to share it with anyone in their network who may be interested in participating at a Justice Together workshop.

By filling out this form, you ensure Jubilee will add you to their list of volunteers to reach out to when they have an upcoming workshop. This form will help Jubilee get a sense of their volunteer capacity moving forward. If you have any questions, contact Albert Jew.
